Fundamentals for Success

Student Experience

Student Experience

Many of our majors complete an undergraduate research project, honors project, or internship. As a student here, you might even have the chance to showcase your work regionally or nationally, as many of our students do. Our students also are very active in a variety of clubs and honor societies on campus.

Facilities

Facilities

As a student, you'll have access to modern technology-based classrooms and cutting-edge laboratory equipment. Our recently renovated labs in the Carhart Science building offer you direct access to equipment you'd expect to only find at a larger research university. You'll get hands-on experience with this equipment very early in your academic career.

Involvement Opportunities

Opportunities

We strongly believe in the synergy between classroom and the community we call home. Our faculty, staff, and students do a variety of community service work. Through Service-Learning, our students have done a variety of projects that have included everything from free blood pressure screenings to launching a bike share program on campus.

Excellence

Excellence

With 38 of our 46 faculty members having terminal degrees, the School of Science, Health, and Criminal Justice is dedicated to quality teaching and experiential learning in general education, majors, and graduate level courses. We are proud of their research that gets published and equally proud of the students who work alongside them to conduct experiments and analyze data.

“WSC is small enough to where professors have enough time to actually help you. They are able to help students network with professionals to kick-start their careers. Professors tailor each class specifically to the students and events going on in the world around us.”
