Environmental Studies Minor

A minor in environmental studies is an exciting multidisciplinary pursuit. Through coursework you will develop an understanding of current environmental issues as they intersect the fields of science, politics, and culture. You’ll be able to identify and address important environmental issues in your personal and professional life. By learning to approach and appreciate environmental problems from multiple perspectives, you’ll be in a unique position to facilitate communication and understanding of these issues among diverse groups. Additionally, you will have the skills needed to identify and address new issues that our society has yet to identify. Through the environmental studies minor, you’ll develop environmental literacy, which can help augment a variety of professions and pairs well with other programs in the sciences, social sciences, political science, geography, journalism, and even public affairs.
