Wayne State's Criminal Justice programs will prepare you for careers in the exciting fields of law enforcement, corrections, probation and parole, court services, asset protection, corporate and private security, and juvenile justice. Our hands-on learning experiences go beyond the classroom.

Student clubs like the Wayne State Criminal Justice Association (WSCJA) provide opportunities to visit correctional facilities and courts, see police departments, observe parole board hearings, and even interview prison inmates. The Criminal Justice Crime Scene Investigation Facility provides a variety of hands-on academic experiences, from managing hostage situations and active shooter scenarios to emergency management exercises. Investigation activities in the facility include bloodstain spatter analysis, fingerprint acquisition, determining firearm trajectories, shoeprint casings, processing a crime scene with DNA evidence, and fluid and arson analysis.
