Our Tuition Guarantee

Free tuition for Pell-eligible students

The Nebraska State College Tuition Guarantee ensures that Pell-qualified students can attend Wayne State College tuition-free. The program applies to new undergraduate students. The program also only applies to fall and spring semesters and cannot be used for any summer tuition amounts.

What the Tuition Guarantee covers

If eligible, the Tuition Guarantee covers your cost of tuition, up to 30 credits per year (15 per semester). Eligible students will receive a combination of grants, college remissions, or WSC Foundation scholarships to fill any remaining tuition costs after the Pell Grant. The Tuition Guarantee does not cover fees, books, supplies, housing, meals, or transportation. However, a student's private or community scholarships will not be considered when providing support to cover tuition costs.

Do I qualify?

You must meet the following qualifications to receive tuition assistance:

  • First-time freshman or an incoming transfer student
  • Be admitted to Wayne State College
  • Be eligible for the Pell Grant as determined by the FAFSA*
  • Enroll in a minimum of 12 credit hours per semester, including one or more on-campus classes

The Guarantee is renewable for up to four years as long as the student remains Pell-eligible, in good academic standing, and continues as a full-time, on-campus student.

*Students must complete the FAFSA on or before April 1 to receive priority consideration.
