How to make a payment
There are several ways to pay your tuition bill at Wayne State College.
- eCheck/Online check
- Credit card
- International wire transfer (Transact International)
- 529 Plan (College Savings Plan)
- Mail (check, money order, cashier's check)
- In person (cash, check, money order, cashier's check)
- Nelnet payment plans
- Apple Pay/Google Pay
Online check
- Online check payments come out of your personal checking or savings account.
- Verify your checking or savings bank account number and routing transit number. Do not use the numbers off your debit card.
- Make sure you have sufficient funds before making a payment.
How to pay your bill through WildcatsOnline
Credit card
- Only accepted online
- A 2.85% (domestic) or 4.25% (international) nonrefundable convenience fee will be assessed to all credit or debit card payments. This charge is assessed by and paid directly to our payment processor, CASHNet SMARTPAY - Higher One, Inc.
- Card payments are not accepted over the phone or in person at the Student Financial Services Office.
- Using a debit card? Consider paying by online check instead to minimize the higher transaction/convenience fees.
Accepted credit cards: Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, and JCB
How to pay your bill through WildcatsOnline
International wire transfer (Transact International)
International students enrolled in classes at Wayne State College may choose to use the Transact International Payments service. Transact International Payments can support students from over 162 countries and accepts 134 currencies.
Wire transfers are initiated by Transact like credit/debit card transactions. Once you have provided your information, Transfermate will contact the email address provided on the form with additional details on how to complete the transaction. Once received, the payment will post directly to your account. Your payment will be shown on your student account as an "International Fnd Pymt-SelfSr."
Steps to make an international payment within WildcatsOnline:
- Log in to WildcatsOnline and select the "Student Account" tab
- Select the "Pay Bill" button
- Select "International payment" from the payment process options
- Follow the instructions and watch for communication from Transfermate
529 Plan (College Savings Plan)
State-approved 529 plan payments can be made directly in WildcatsOnline. Otherwise, disbursements from a 529 Plan arrive in the form as checks that are mailed to Wayne State College. These payments can take 10 or more business days to reach us, as they require additional time for processing and delivery. You should contact your plan administrator to begin the withdrawal process at 2-4 weeks before the payment deadline to ensure the funds are received by the deadline dates. Each payment should include the student’s name and 8-digit student ID number.

Pay in-person at Student Financial Services
Cash, check, or money order payments are accepted at the Student Financial Services Office located in the Hahn Administration Building during regular business hours (8 a.m. - 5 p.m. CST Monday through Friday). When making a payment, please indicate the student's name and 8-digit student ID number on your payment.
Apple Pay or Google Pay
The available payment method will depend on the device being used (Apple Pay for iPhones and Google Pay for Android devices). There is a 2.85% service charge.
