Homecoming / Wildcat Days
Homecoming is a long-standing tradition at Wayne State College. It is a time for alumni to return to their alma mater and reconnect with current and past Wildcats. It's a also a time for current students to celebrate the Wildcat spirit during Wildcat Days. Student activities during this time typically include crowning of Homecoming royalty, a variety of games and trivia, Willy Olympics, Greek Olympics, pep rally, bonfire, parade, and football game.

WillowCon
WillowCon is Wayne State's version of Comic-Con. This annual event is held each spring and includes tons of fun activities to celebrate comics, sci-fi, and fantasy.

Family Day
Each year, Wayne State College hosts Family Day during the fall, a weekend when students' families are invited to visit and participate in many fun activities specially planned for the weekend. There is also a home football game and fireworks in the evening.

Performing arts events
Wayne State College has earned a solid reputation for outstanding music and performing arts programs. As a student here, you'll have numerous opportunities to attend recitals, concerts, plays, musicals, and other cultural events each year. And if you're suited for the spotlight, you can get involved by participating in any number of vocal or instrumental music groups, theatre productions (on-stage of behind the scenes), and drama club events.

Planetarium shows
Wayne State's planetarium (located in the Carhart Science building) not only supports the science curriculum on campus, it serves WSC students and the community. Full-dome shows and laser shows are regularly scheduled and available to students and the general public throughout the year.

Student media
Student media and publications at Wayne State provide students free rein to express their ideas, voices, and tell their stories while cultivating their skills and creativity. Students can also stay in-the-know about campus happenings through our campus radio and TV stations, and the campus newspaper.

Athletic events
Get in on the action! Our 15 athletic teams go hard in competition. And they need you there to cheer them on. Football games and track meets take place at Memorial Stadium, basketball and volleyball games in Rice Auditorium, baseball and softball games at the Pete Chapman complex, soccer on the pitch, and cross country on the golf course near campus. Even beach volleyball plays at home on our sand courts. Special events are occasionally held to support the Cats, such as Blackout Night. Admission to regular season home games is free for all students!
