A variety of public events at Wayne State College brings culture to our campus, community, and region. With performances in theatre, music, and dance by national touring companies, regional artists, and our own faculty, staff, and students, Wayne State College provides more than 100 annual performances free of charge to our faculty, staff, students, and surrounding communities.

Performance venues
- Ramsey Theatre - Ramsey Theatre, housed in the Peterson Fine Arts building, is the main performance venue and seats up to 560 spectators.
- Ley Theatre - Ley Theatre is located in the Brandenburg building and has fixed seating for 150, including a balcony view.
- Black Box Theatre - Seating approximately 90, the Black Box offers a more intimate environment between performers and the audience.
Black & Gold Performing Arts Series
The WSC Black & Gold Performing Arts Series annually presents full-scale opera and theatre productions, dance performances, orchestras, chamber music, award-winning actors, and WSC’s President’s Holiday Gala Concert. For more than 50 years, the series has entertained the people of Northeast Nebraska.


I love being able to have the chance to perform. We have student recitals every week, which gives students many performance opportunities. I love going to concerts here because they're just beautiful, every one of them.
