Stay active

Our fitness facilities, exercise classes, intramurals, and recreational activities offer a variety of opportunities to help you stay active throughout the year! Between our Wellness Center and Outdoor Recreation Complex, indoor track, indoor turf area, multiple weight training and cardio rooms, basketball courts, badminton and pickleball courts, racquetball courts, tennis courts, futsal courts, sand volleyball courts, and fitness trail, you'll have plenty of ways to stay in shape.

Wellness Center

The WSC Wellness Center (formerly Rec Center) is a great location for working out and hanging with friends. The 50,000-square-foot facility includes an indoor track, basketball, volleyball and racquetball courts, a functional training room, selectorized machines, free weight room, and a cardio room with 40 machines. We also offer fitness and wellness classes there, and we have rooms where you can work out on your own.

Outdoor Recreation

The Outdoor Recreation Complex features basketball, futsal, and tennis courts, in addition to sand volleyball courts, a walking trail, and the disc golf course.

Indoor Athletic Complex

The Indoor Athletic Complex features a hard court for basketball and volleyball with a balcony that oversees the facility.

Outdoor Track and Field

The track and field facilities are primarily used by WSC athletic teams, but they are open to the public when not in use by Wildcat Athletics.

Wayne State offers a range of fitness classes for students and employees. These fitness classes are a great way to enjoy a workout and try something new. Classes may have limited openings. To reserve your spot in class, sign up through IM Leagues.
