Summer Financial Aid

Summer financial aid is available to undergraduate and graduate students at Wayne State College who have completed the FAFSA. Summer is considered the final term in an academic year, so most students will have already filed the FAFSA prior to their summer courses. Students who have not already filed a FAFSA and want to take Summer 2026 courses should otherwise complete the 2025-26 FAFSA. The deadline to file the FAFSA for summer aid each year is June 30.

In addition to filing the FAFSA, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Undergraduate students must be enrolled in at least 6 summer session hours
  • Graduate students must be enrolled in at last 5 summer session hours
  • Maintain satisfactory academic progress

Students will be sent an email to their WildcatsOnline account informing them of their financial aid package after they have registered for classes.

The following types of aid are not available in the summer session:

  • Institutional scholarships
  • Foundation scholarships
  • Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant
  • Nebraska Opportunity Grant
  • Wildcat Tuition Guarantee
