Interior of the CSI Facility lab

The facility simulates complex crime scenarios, such as home invasions and homicides, where students process the scenes as Crime Scene Investigators (CSIs) and investigate the incidents from start to finish as detectives. Students engage in various tasks such as crime scene photography, 3D mapping and sketching, fingerprinting, ballistics trajectory analysis, blood spatter analysis, and collecting various types of physical evidence - including biological samples, trace evidence, and latent prints.

By navigating these realistic, hands-on experiences, students develop essential skills in crime scene management, evidence handling, and analytical thinking - key competencies for successful careers in criminal justice.
