
Tara Wiles, MSOM
Instructor
Tara Wiles teaches in the Criminal Justice Department at Wayne State College. Since graduating from Wayne State College in 2007, Wiles has held multiple roles in the criminal justice field, such as a juvenile probation officer for the State of Nebraska and a forensic technician with the Omaha Police Department. She has been trained in motivational interviewing, forensic photography and videography, scene diagramming, fingerprint processing and identification, evidence collection, and firearms safety. Wiles has been present at more than 2,000 crime scenes and related assignments, including countless burglaries/robberies, nearly 100 death investigations, and approximately a dozen homicides. Wiles is excited to be teaching criminal investigations and forensic investigations, while utilizing and managing the CSI Facility for criminal justice students to gain hands-on experience in the field.
Wiles' academic interests include studying criminal investigations, criminalistics, and drugs, alcohol, and addiction. She considers herself a lifelong student of leadership and service to others.
