CAEP Accreditation at Wayne State

CAEP accreditation logo

Wayne State’s education degree programs are accredited by the Council of Accreditation for Educator Preparation (CAEP).

CAEP is the only nationally recognized accrediting body for teacher preparation programs in higher education. CAEP accreditation provides quality assurance that educator preparation programs meet rigorous standards of excellence, ensuring that future teachers will be prepared to know their subjects, and have the clinical training that will allow them to enter the classroom ready to teach.

Wayne State College has received specialized accreditation for our educator preparation programs through the initial licensure level with CAEP. This accreditation status is effective between Fall 2019 and Fall 2024. The next site visit will take place in Spring 2024.
