If you desire a career as a theatre/drama teacher in junior high or high school, consider the Theatre Education supplemental endorsement from Wayne State. You’ll learn how to teach acting and directing techniques, improvisation, lighting, scenic design, and set construction. You’ll also get hands-on experience by being involved in theatre productions and other performances on campus. You will have the opportunity to participate in the annual Kennedy Center American Theatre Festival Region V and tour with our children’s theatre. You can join the WSC Drama Club, a thriving student organization with a busy programming schedule. Through courses in the Theatre Education endorsement, you’ll develop your critical and creative thinking skills, along with organization and communication skills, to help you build poise and confidence when it comes to work in any education career.

It has not been determined if this program meets requirements for all other states.
