Information Technology Education Supplemental Endorsement

The world of information technology is a growing and rapidly changing field. The future rests on technology, and it’s important that students understand the basics of computers and how to use them for different functions and purposes. With an endorsement to teach information technology, you’ll be ready to teach computer science, computer programming, keyboarding, and even web design and networking to students in elementary school through high school.

Students with this endorsement may teach information technology courses in grades PK-12. This endorsement is not a standalone program and must be paired with other endorsements. You must earn this endorsement concurrently while pursuing a field endorsement or two subject endorsements, or you can add this endorsement to an existing teaching certificate.

Adding the information technology education supplemental endorsement can increase your marketability and give you an advantage when applying for teaching positions. It may also lead to new career opportunities. Pursuing this endorsement can be an opportunity to expand your knowledge and skills in information technology. This can enhance your teaching ability and make you a more effective educator.
