Board of Certified Safety Professionals
The Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP) sets and certifies the technical competency criteria for safety, health, and environmental practitioners. BCSP has recognized Wayne State College, specifically the safety management degree program (B.S. in industrial technology), with Qualified Academic Program (QAP) status. BCSP is dedicated to improving safety practice by ensuring programs meet the challenge of achieving and maintaining quality-accredited safety certification. BCSP certifications are recognized as the gold standard in safety certifications.
Accredited in January 2020, BCSP and WSC work together to create the path forward for its Safety students. Graduates of the program receive the Graduate Safety Practitioner (GSP) certification from BCSP upon successful completion.
