About Morey Hall

Morey features two large lobby areas – one on the main floor and one on the lower level of the hall. It has recently renovated restrooms as well as new study lounges on the second and third floors. Morey has a balanced mixture of first-year students and upperclassmen, making it a good choice for living and learning at Wayne State College. Second- and third-floor areas are designated as freshmen-only floors. The hall features a newly named student lounge honoring Roberta “Mom” Welte, who was the residence hall director at Morey Hall for more than 20 years, from 1967 to 1989. Morey is also home to the Wildcat Academy of Leadership and Knowledge (WALK) Living Learning Community.
