Undergraduate Tuition and Fees

Tuition and fees at Wayne State College are determined by several factors, including: number of credit hours the student is enrolled in; location/instruction mode (on-campus or online); student's degree program; and the course level. Courses numbered 100-499 will be charged at the undergraduate rate and courses numbered 500-799 will be charged at the graduate rate.

Wayne campus fees
The following fees are for students taking courses on campus at Wayne. These fees are billed directly to your student account.

Student health fee $6.30 per credit hour Enables WSC to provide students with general physical and mental health care assistance and first aid
Student activity fee $6.25 per credit hour Designated for student activities, which are managed by student groups. The Student Senate distributes these funds annually.

Extended campus fee
This is for students taking courses at a campus other than Wayne, such as the College Center in South Sioux City and Metropolitan Community College in Omaha.

Course and lab fees Varies. See course descriptions in the catalog for details. Some courses may be assessed a lab fee (e.g., science labs) or other course fee (e.g., private music lessons). These fees support the purchase of instrumental equipment or materials and/or pay extraordinary operating costs related to offering the courses. They are included on your billing statement along with tuition and fees.
International student enrollment fee $100 A one-time fee for all new incoming international students
Late payment fee 2% (max $100) This late fee is assessed to bills not paid in full, or those where an acceptable payment arrangement has not been made by the due date.
Library replacement fee $40 (per item) + item cost A processing charge for materials and labor associated with replacing overdue library materials. Fee is removed if the item is returned.
Music locker rental $10 per semester Cost to rent a locker for instrument storage
Music instrument rental $10 per semester Cost to rent an instrument
New student orientation $125 A one-time fee for incoming freshmen
Reinstatement fee $100 Re-enrollment fee after having previously withdrawn from college
Returned check fee $30 A fee you're assessed if your check payment bounces or can't go through (writing a bad check)
Student ID (Cat Card) replacement $25 Students who lose or damange their Cat Cards will be assessed this fee to cover the cost of a replacement.
