Class Registration

Class Registration Procedures

All students register for classes through WildcatsOnline. Students should note that all advising holds must be cleared before any registration activity can occur.

Before you register for classes

1. Know when you can register
Registration dates are based on your current academic standing and student classification. Registration timetables are listed with each term’s class schedule.

2. Review your degree requirements
Be prepared with and bring the following information to your meeting with your advisor:

  • Review the courses required for your major, minor, or endorsement in the general catalog.
  • Make a list of courses you wish to enroll in and jot down specific questions about the courses and your future plans.
  • Review the class schedule and prepare a preliminary semester schedule.
  • Print a copy of your unofficial transcript from WildcatsOnline.

3. Meet with your advisor
You cannot register for classes until you have the necessary approval from your advisor. Present the outline of your coursework and discuss the timeframe for your program, courses, or degree completion. Discuss the specific or general requirements which you have noted from your catalog and ask for clarification.

You should review with your advisor:

  • The courses for the next registration period.
  • How your next semester's classes fit in with your overall program.

After meeting with your advisor, he or she will give you the approval necessary for registration in WildcatsOnline.
