Wayne State College has been recognized by Abound as one of its Best Graduate Schools for 2026, placing the college among a select group of institutions nationwide recognized for providing graduate education designed to support student success and professional advancement.
Wayne State is one of only six colleges and universities in Nebraska included in Abound’s 2026 Best Graduate Schools recognition.

Abound begins its evaluation with publicly available information from the National Center for Education Statistics’ Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) and the U.S. Department of Education’s College Scorecard. Schools are screened for factors including accreditation, outcomes, and the scope of their graduate offerings.
Abound then considers the institution’s graduate programs and support systems through its Four As framework.
- Accessibility considers whether graduate education is realistically available to working adults, including online, hybrid, evening, and weekend options; opportunities for part-time study; experience providing flexible graduate programs; and clear admissions and program information.
- Affordability considers tuition and fee transparency, costs for part-time students, available debt and repayment information, and indicators of responsible student borrowing.

Graduate education built around flexibility and career goals
Wayne State College offers a broad range of online graduate degrees for professionals in business, education, counseling, organizational leadership, public service, sport and recreation, technology, and other fields.
Graduate degree options include the Master of Business Administration (MBA); Master of Science in Organizational Management (MSOM); Master of Science in Education (MSE); Master of Arts and Master of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies; Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT); and Education Specialist (Ed.S.) degree. Wayne State also offers online graduate certificates and teaching endorsements that allow professionals to add specialized credentials without necessarily completing another full degree.
Most Wayne State College graduate programs are offered fully online, allowing students to continue working and remain in their communities while earning an advanced degree. For the 2026-27 academic year, tuition for graduate-level courses is $261.90 per credit hour, with total tuition and fee rates varying by program and delivery method. Online graduate courses in Curriculum and Instruction and Special Education cost $404 per credit hour including fees, while many other online graduate programs cost $427.45 per credit hour including fees.
