The theme for Wayne State in the Spring 2026 semester is growth. The College saw increases in new graduate students, professional development to area teachers, and dual credit delivery. In addition, the College retained a larger number of students from fall to spring, setting a new record.
The College added 55 new graduate students for the spring in areas such as Curriculum and Instruction (MSE), Counseling (MSE), Interdisciplinary Studies (MS/MS), Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Organizational Management (MSOM), School Administration (MSE), Special Education (MSE), Education Specialist (Ed.S.), and 12-credit-hour graduate certificates in Supply Chain Management, Human Resources, and Leadership that can lead to an MBA with additional coursework.
Wayne State recently added a Master of Science in Education degree in Higher Education and Student Affairs that will begin in Fall 2026. The new fully online program prepares graduate students to serve in a wide range of postsecondary settings.
Wayne State continues to partner with Nebraska Educational Service Units (ESUs) and school districts to provide flexible, affordable graduate credit for training, continuing education, and professional growth. These professional development courses grew this spring, demonstrating the College’s critical importance in meeting local educators’ needs.
Dual credit students continue to trust Wayne State as they get a head start on their college education. Wayne State serves 795 dual credit students in Nebraska high schools, which is a 10% increase over last year. Dual credit through Wayne State is provided at minimal cost with scholarships available for low-income students through the Access College Early (ACE) Scholarship, offered through Nebraska’s Coordinating Commission for Postsecondary Education.
