Wayne State College’s Communication Studies degree provides a strong foundation in speech communication, rhetoric, and persuasive discourse. Within the major, students may pursue concentrations in Interpersonal and Applied Communication; Rhetoric, Influence, and Civic Engagement; Organizational Leadership and Public Relations; and Theatre Arts.
For students focused specifically on speech and rhetoric, coursework emphasizes public speaking, argumentation, persuasion, civic dialogue, and ethical advocacy in both professional and community settings.
