How to Apply to the MSE Counseling Program
The master's in counseling at Wayne State College is a popular pathway for those exploring how to become a counselor. You must first apply to general graduate study and then apply to the counseling graduation program itself, which requires a list of materials to submit. Explore counseling degree requirements below.
Application timeline
When you apply to the counseling master's degree, follow the procedures below and note the timeline for your expected start date listed in the chart. After reviewing your materials, you may be invited for a program interview. Applications are only reviewed after the associated deadline, and all materials must be submitted by this date for consideration.
| Enrollment term | Application opens | Deadline for consideration | Review period | Notice of admission decision |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Spring | Aug. 1 | Oct. 1 | October | November |
| Summer | Aug. 1 | Oct. 1 | October | November |
| Fall | Aug. 1 | March 1 | March | April |
If you begin your application process prior to these due dates and all required materials are not submitted by the due date, you will need to reapply to the WSC graduate school as outlined in Step 1 and resubmit your materials in the application portal in accordance with the next available consideration date.
