Do you want learn more about social issues and how to make social change? Do you want to learn how to analyze interactions between individuals and social groups, involving social class, gender, race, religion, and other aspects of culture and society? A minor in sociology can be applied to a wide range of careers and post-graduate training. Through sociology courses, you’ll develop the ability to look at an issue from different perspectives to solve a problem. You’ll understand sociocultural diversity and be able to work with people from various economic, religious, race, and regional backgrounds. You’ll examine social science research methods, collecting and analyzing data for the workplace or post-graduate study, and you’ll learn how to communicate within different social settings.
