Explore the Interdisciplinary Studies degree
Not all career goals fit into a specific program of study. The Interdisciplinary Studies program lets you create your own major or minor from two or more programs to create your own, allowing you to direct your studies toward a very specific career goal. This major is constructed by the student and advisor.By customizing your studies to meet industry needs, you’ll acquire diverse skills that can be applied to a rapidly changing 21st century.
The Interdisciplinary Studies major is designed to help you better understand relationships between various disciplines. You’ll get to choose classes from different departments for a well-rounded education. However, your program must emphasize a clearly defined area, body of thought, or educational goal. These programs are not intended to allow students to graduate without concentrating their thoughts in some clearly defined area of emphasis.
