The General Studies program provides students with a well-rounded education and foundation of knowledge across a broad range of academic disciplines. Students will develop intellectual and practical skills, including critical and creative thinking, written and oral communication, quantitative reasoning, and problem solving. These skills can be valuable in a wide range of careers, including business, law, health care, education, and public service.
Core Academic Tenets (CATs)
Students will complete a minimum of 30 credit hours of coursework distributed over ten tenets. These tenets are referred to as the Core Academic Tenets, or CATs.
