Office of Admissions
Wayne State College
1111 Main Street
Wayne, NE 68787
International students should email them to Amy Albrecht at [email protected].
Your official transcript(s) must be original copies with the official seal of the institution and the degree statement. Transcripts must be sent directly to Wayne State College. Transcripts that are not received directly from the institution will not be accepted (they cannot pass through student hands). If you received your undergraduate degree from Wayne State, you do not have to request transcripts.
If your transcript is from an institution outside of the United States, we require an official evaluation transcript. Wayne State College offers a custom application at a discounted rate through SpanTran, our recommended evaluation service. If you choose to have your transcript evaluated by another institution, it must be a member of NACES.
Step 3: Fulfill Common Body of Knowledge admission criteria
Each student entering the MBA program should have satisfactory knowledge in the following areas: accounting, corporate finance, economics, and statistics. This is known as the Common Body of Knowledge (CBK). This group of courses includes an introductory level course in each functional area of business. Students who have an undergraduate degree in Business will typically have completed most, if not all, of these courses. Your transcripts will be evaluated to ensure CBKs are met, and if deficiencies exist, you will be required to fulfill them. If you do have deficiencies, you may still be admitted to the MBA program and start taking classes that do not require CBK prerequisites, but CBKs must be fulfilled before taking classes that do require them.
There are two ways these CBK areas can be fulfilled:
- Completion of undergraduate courses in the subject areas
- Passing of subject test(s) in Peregrine
