About Wildcat track and field camps

Wayne State College offers track and field camps at various times of the year, for multiple track and field events.

  • Hurdles camps
    The hurdles camps are developmental clinics for junior high and high school athletes. The clinic is designed to teach skills and techniques, offer constructive criticism from current college athletes and coaches, and give assistance in the ideal workout environment. 

    Morning is for grades 7-9, and afternoon is for grades 10-12. 

    Camp date: June 22, 2026

  • Pole Vault Camps
    The pole vault camps are developmental clinics for junior high and high school athletes. Designed to teach techniques, offer constructive criticism, and give assistance in a workout environment.

  • Throws camps
    The Elite Throws Camp is for athletes entering grades 11-12. The other Throws Camps are for athletes entering grades 7-9 and 9-12. Shot put and discus events are offered at each camp.

    Camp dates: 

    • Elite Throws Camp - Monday, June 22, 2026
    • Throws Camp (grades 7-9) - Tuesday, June 23, 2026 (morning)
    • Throws Camp (grades 9-12) - Tuesday, June 23, 2026 (afternoon)
