Outside Scholarship Opportunities

In addition to scholarships at Wayne State College, there are several other options you can consider.

Susan T. Buffett Scholarship

The Susan T. Buffett Foundation has offered scholarships to college students in Nebraska for more than 50 years. Scholarships are awarded on a competitive basis to first-time freshman entering college who live in Nebraska, graduate from a Nebraska high school (or GED) with plans to attend a Nebraska public college, and demonstrate financial need. There are a limited number of scholarships, so the Foundation is unable to provide awards to all eligible candidates.

The scholarship can be used at any Nebraska public institution - community colleges, the state colleges, and the university system. Students need to enroll in at least 9 credits each semester and earn a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0.

The Academic and Career Success Center works with Susan Buffett scholarship recipients to help them stay eligible for their scholarship.
