Accelerated Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.)
Through Wayne State’s partnership with Kansas City University’s College of Osteopathic Medicine, students can become a physician in a grand total of seven years instead of eight.

In this transfer program, students spend their first three years at WSC, then transfer to KCU to complete their final year of undergraduate studies at the College of Osteopathic Medicine, earning a B.S. in Chemistry or Biology from WSC. The first year at KCU also counts as the first year of schooling in the D.O. program. The D.O. program at KCU is considered one of the top-ranking osteopathic medical colleges in terms of student performance on national board exams.
