Accreditation represents a continuing relationship between an institution and its accrediting organization.

“This reaffirmation of accreditation provides a high level of quality assurance for our students and external stakeholders,” said Dr. Anne Power, Dean of the School of Business and Technology at WSC. “It is a testament to our institution and business faculty, who have demonstrated a commitment to excellence in business education.”

Programmatic accreditation by IACBE is mission-driven and outcomes-based, and involves an independent, external evaluation of the business programs offered by an institution’s academic business unit, according to the council’s website. The effectiveness of the academic business unit is evaluated by reviewing the educational processes related to teaching and learning in the institution, and by an assessment of the outcomes of the teaching-learning process.

Programs and concentrations accredited during the review process included the Masters of Business Administration and its focus areas in accounting, human resource management, and supply chain management, and undergraduate business concentrations in accounting, agribusiness, economics, finance, human resource management, international business, management, marketing, office administration, professional studies, public accounting, and supply chain management.
