McMaster will represent Wayne State College.
Governor Jim Pillen has appointed Wayne State College junior Robynne McMaster as a student trustee for the Nebraska State College System.
McMaster, who is from Johannesburg, South Africa, joins Samantha Hill of Chadron State College and Austen Janssen of Peru State College as the state college student trustees for the 2025-26 academic year.
“I am deeply honored to have been elected to serve as the student trustee,” said McMaster, a 2022 graduate of Woodlands International College in South Africa. “I am humbled by the opportunity to strengthen the invaluable connection between students and the administrative body at Wayne State. I am eager to carry forward the perspectives of my peers to facilitate meaningful change where it matters most.”
At Wayne State, McMaster is majoring in Criminal Justice and Business Management, with a minor in Pre-Law. McMaster serves as a resident assistant in Bowen Hall, and she is active in the Wayne State Student Senate and the National Society of Leadership and Success.
She is the daughter of Ian McMaster and Megan McMaster.
