Criminal Justice Minor

The Criminal Justice minor provides a broad foundation in the study of crime, law enforcement, and corrections, preparing you for diverse careers in the justice system. Core courses introduce the institutions and processes of criminal justice while exploring policing, investigations, juvenile delinquency, and correctional systems. Students examine topics such as police-community relations, evidence collection, the causes of juvenile crime, and the philosophy and practice of both institutional and community-based corrections. Pairing this minor with Human Services, Psychology, Sociology, or Computer Science allows you to tailor your degree toward careers in areas such as case management, victim advocacy, legal support services, or probation and parole.

Pairing this minor with majors in Human Services, Psychology, Sociology, Computer Information Systems, or Chemistry allows you to tailor your degree toward careers in areas such as case management, forensic investigation, crime lab analysis, or probation and parole.
