How to Transfer Colleges: Admission to WSC

1. Get Connected - Schedule an Appointment

Schedule an appointment with Henry Goeden, Coordinator of Transfer Admissions, to learn more about the admissions process, transfer credit evaluation, program of study details, and more. Appointments may be held in person in Norfolk, Neb., via phone, or through video chat.

2. Visit Campus

Contact the WSC Admissions Office to experience campus, speak with an admissions representative, and visit with a faculty member. Call 866-WSC-CATS or schedule a visit online.

3. Apply for Admission

Request an official copy of any and all transcripts from previously attended institutions to be sent to the Admissions Office. Transcripts may be sent through Parchment to admissions@wsc.edu or mail to Office of Admissions, 1111 Main Street, Wayne, NE 68787.

Tips for applying online:

  • You will need an active email address to begin your application.
  • You can save your application at any time and submit it at a later time. 
  • If you are under 18, you'll need to have your parent or guardian present to submit your final application.

4. Apply for Financial Aid and Scholarships

Apply for Financial Aid via the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). Make sure to add Wayne State College's federal school code to your FAFSA: 002566.

Apply for any transfer scholarships offered at your current institution (if applicable) as well as transfer scholarships and other scholarships at Wayne State College.

5. Complete Student Health Form

A student health form is also required for each new student. Print the health form here.

6. Apply for Campus Housing

If you are interested in learning more about living on campus, schedule a visit to campus or check out our housing options

If you plan on living in student housing, you will need to fill out the application form and submit the appropriate one-time deposit of $50. Complete the housing application.

7. Enroll in Classes

Once you have been admitted, you are eligible to enroll in classes at Transfer Registration Day. During the program, you’ll be connected to important people and resources at WSC. Additionally, you’ll meet with an advisor to register for classes. Registration days for Fall 2020 classes are now available!

Transfer College Credits

You may transfer up to 66 credit hours from any accredited community college, but you must have earned a “C-” or better at a regionally accredited institution. If you are transferring from a partner school, Wayne State may have already made agreements for your credits to transfer, depending on your program of study.

Turn your associate degree into a bachelor's degree

Wayne State College has partnered with the following two-year schools to offer special programs (called articulation agreements) just for you! Learn more about the transfer programs available at each of the community colleges below. And if you're not transferring through an articulation agreement, that's ok. You can still go from associate to bachelor's degree by choosing a program of study that interests you and looking over our transfer guide to see what credits will transfer to Wayne State College.


Wayne State College also holds articulation agreements with Nebraska Indian Community College. For more information on these agreements or transferring from NICC, please contact Henry Goeden, Coordinator of Transfer Admissions.
