Menu Innovations

Wayne State dining offers menu innovations in the Main Dining Hall and Cat’s Corner that provide exciting seasonal promotions, new product introductions, limited-time offers, and changes to daily menus. These menu innovations enhance variety and freshness, as well as provide opportunities to try new and exciting foods through the introduction of SuperFoods and having featured specials such as Regional Mashup, Back to the Future, and Down the Boardwalk! Seasonal promotions have included St. Patrick’s Day, Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Dinner specials.

Special Diet

If you have special dietary needs or any food allergies please contact us. The G8 station in the Main Dining Hall is unique in that it is intended to provide menu options that are prepared without the eight major allergen containing ingredients or gluten. While it is geared to provide those with special dietary needs and food allergens great options, it doesn’t mean you have to have those needs to enjoy the great food prepared there! Wayne State College has a registered dietician on campus once a month that works directly with students and the Wayne State Dining Services chef to set up a program that meets your special dietary needs. If you have already met with a doctor or dietician, bring your doctor’s requests to the main dining center office, and we will do our absolute best to provide a program that meets your requirements.

Also check out our dining website, where you can find menus for each dining location across campus, including full nutrition information and ingredients list.

Coming soon to our Dine On Campus site: If you have food allergies, intolerances, and/or sensitivities, create an Allergen ID on our site or on the app. This will create a digital ID card that can be printed or uploaded to your smartphone wallet. Use your Allergen ID card to privately inform our staff of your dietary needs.

Sack Lunches

A sack lunch program is available for students with conflicting class schedules, those employed during meal periods, and those embarking on clinical practice (student teaching). Arrangements for sack lunches are made in the main dining center office located in the back of the dining hall. For your convenience, meals can also be pre-orderd and picked up using the BOOST mobile app.

Visitor Meals

All dining locations accept cash and credit or debit cards. Students with meal plans are also allowed to purchase an accompanying visitor/guest’s meal through their meal plan's Flex Dollar account, and those students on a block meal plan may use a meal swipe for an accompanying visitor/guest. Main Dining Hall meal pricing is:
