About the Science Education degree program
Wayne State College’s Science Education degree prepares future teachers to teach science in grades 7–12. Students build a broad foundation in biology, chemistry, Earth science, and physics while developing the instructional skills needed to teach science effectively in middle and high school classrooms.
The program combines scientific coursework and laboratory experience with professional educator preparation, field experiences, and clinical practice. Graduates are prepared to pursue teacher licensure and careers in secondary science education.
