Tau Upsilon Alpha
A national honor society for students, professors, and professionals in the field of human services
Tau Upsilon Alpha (TUA) is a national human services honor society established by the National Organization for Human Services (NOHS) for students, professors, and professionals in the field of human services. The mission of TUA is to honor academic excellence; to foster lifelong learning, leadership and development; and to promote excellence in service to humanity. Each year, students who demonstrate academic excellence and exceptional leadership skills are invited to join.
Members are eligible to participate in an initiation ceremony and can also purchase graduation cords to commemorate their achievement. New members are given a frameable certificate and membership pin. They also receive special scholarship opportunities and can participate in local chapter activities, as well as future induction ceremonies.
TUA was founded in 2006 and chartered at Wayne State College in 2012.
