School Administration Licensure and Certification

Wayne State's School Administration program (MSE) is designed to prepare students for licensure or certification in Nebraska.

Arkansas school administrator/principal certification
The School Administration (MSE) at Wayne State may certify you for the Build Level Adminstrator P-12 endorsement in Arkansas. For more information on licensure requirements in Arkansas, contact the Arkansas Department of Education.

Colorado school administrator/principal certification
The School Administration (MSE) at Wayne State may certify you for the Principal K-12 endorsement in Colorado. For initial licensure, you must have three fully licensed years of teaching and pass Praxis 5412. For more information on teacher certification in Colorado, contact the Colorado Department of Education.

Florida school administrator/principal certification
The School Administration (MSE) at Wayne State may certify you for the School Principal endorsement in Florida. For more information on certification requirements in Florida, contact the Florida Department of Education.

Iowa school administrator/principal certification
The School Administration (MSE) at Wayne State may certify you for the PK-12 Principal/PK-12 Special Education Supervisor endorsement in Iowa. For more information on teacher certification in Iowa, contact the Iowa Department of Education.

Kansas school administrator/principal certification
The School Administration (MSE) at Wayne State may certify you for the Building Leadership PK-12 endorsement in Kansas. You must have a 3.25 GPA. For more information on teacher certification in Kansas, contact the Kansas Department of Education.

Minnesota school administration/principal certification
The School Administration (MSE) at Wayne State may certify you for principal licensure in Minnesota. You must have at least 60 credits above a bachelor's degree and 80% of rule competencies attained. Additional courses will need to be taken for Minnesota competencies. May apply for and be issued a provisional license while working to complete deficiencies. Missouri school administrator/principal certification
The School Administration (MSE) at Wayne State may certify you for the School Leader K-12 endorsement in Missouri. Must have three years of teaching experience. For more information on teacher certification in Missouri, contact the Missouri Department of Education.

Nebraska school administrator/principal certification
Wayne State's School Administration master's degree may certify you to work as a school administrator (e.g., principal) at any level in in a P-12 school system. To be eligible for administrator certification in Nebraska, you must have a master's degree in education and two years of verified successful teaching experience. If you are seeking certification for the first time in Nebraska, you may be required to complete additional coursework in human relations and special education.

South Dakota school administrator/principal certification
The School Administration (MSE) at Wayne State may certify you for the K-12 Principal endorsement in South Dakota. Must have three years of licensed teaching. For more information on teacher certification in South Dakota, contact the South Dakota Department of Education.

Tennessee school administrator/principal certification
The School Administration (MSE) at Wayne State may certify you to work as a principal in Tennessee. You must have three years of education experience (school counseling counts), complete literacy training course or pass TELA, and pass the SLLA 6990. You can get provisional until you complete/pass. Wisconsin school administrator/principal certification
The School Administration (MSE) at Wayne State may certify you for the Principal K-12 endorsement in Wisconsin. You must also have three years of licensed teaching experience. For more information on licensure requirements in Wisconsin, contact the Wisconsin Department of Education.

Wyoming school administrator/principal certification
The School Administration (MSE) at Wayne State may certify you for the Principal K-6 or 6-12 endorsement in Wyoming. For more information on teacher certification in Wyoming, contact the Wyoming Professional Teaching Standards Board.
