Project overview

The Rice Arena renovation is the final piece of Wayne State College's transformational Athletic and Recreation Complex project.

This renovation will create modernized and centralized office space for volleyball, men's basketball, and women's basketball, providing coaches and staff with funtional spaces that encourage collaboration, recruiting, student-athlete development, and continued program success.

The renovation will also redesign the main entrance and public spaces of Rice Arena, improving the experience for Wildcat fans, families, alumni, and visitors.

The renovation of Rice Arena's main entrance will create a more welcoming and accessible game-day experience.
Planned improvements include:
- Redesigned ticketing area
- Expanded concessions
- Updated restrooms
- Open and accessible concourse
- Improved entrance and gathering spaces
Together, these improvements will make Rice Arena more functional and inviting while enhancing the experience from the moment fans arrive.
The Rice Arena project goes beyond improving the fan experience. Modernized offices for Wayne State's volleyball, men's basketball, and women's basketball programs will provide centralized spaces designed to better serve coaches and student-athletes.
