The University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL) is considered the flagship university of Nebraska. UNL is recognized as a top tier public research university with a steadfast commitment to innovation and collaboration.
Through Wayne State’s partnership with UNL, we offer select undergraduate programs where students can start their degree at Wayne State, complete their initial studies and credits for less cost, then seamlessly transfer to UNL for completion of their final year(s) of undergraduate study.
From there, students can continue their studies at UNL at the graduate level, which is often recommended for careers in engineering or advanced studies of science.
Wayne State and UNL partner to offer the following degree programs:
- Agricultural Engineering (2+2 transfer program)
- Applied Science/Agriculture (3+1 dual degree transfer program)
- Civil Engineering (2+2 transfer program)
- Mechanical Engineering (2+2 program)
- Plant Biology – Ecology and Management (3+1 transfer program)
Rural Law Opportunities Program
Wayne State College also partners with UNL’s Nebraska College of Law to offer the Rural Law Opportunities Program (RLOP). RLOP provides funding and support for prospective law students who are interested in working in rural communities of Nebraska. Students earn a full-tuition scholarship for their undergrad studies at WSC with presumptive admission to the Nebraska College of Law, where they can earn their law degree. Additional benefits include mentoring, networking, internship opportunities, and potential loan forgiveness after completion of law school. The goal of the program is to increase the number of legal professionals in rural areas, where access to legal services is often limited.
