Wayne State’s New Student Registration program provides students with a smooth transition to college.

Wayne State College finished a second week of its New Student Registration (NSR) program June 7 for students who are ready to enroll in classes for the Fall 2024 semester. Approximately 600 incoming freshmen participated during the two weeks.

The purpose of the NSR program is to provide students with a smooth transition to college. All first-time freshmen are required to attend a NSR program in order to register for fall classes.

The program begins at 9 a.m. and concludes at approximately 3 p.m. Throughout the day, students can expect to meet an advisor and register for fall classes; hear from different speakers about academic preparedness, the billing and payment process, and services available at Wayne State; enjoy lunch; visit with staff from a variety of offices and departments; and meet other members of the Wayne State Class of 2028.

Various dates for the program run through Friday, Aug. 2, with fall semester classes beginning Monday, Aug. 19.
