WSC honored its employees for their years of service with an employee recognition breakfast May 10.
Wayne State College recently honored its support staff and professional staff employees for their years of service to the college with a recognition breakfast May 10.
Thirty-one employees were honored for service ranging from 5 to 30 years. In addition to the service awards, other employees received individual awards for their contributions to Wayne State.
Karla Otte Pick and Suzanne Penn were awarded 2023-24 Support Staff Awards, and Joel Johnson received the Lynette Lentz Professional Staff Recognition Award.
Support Staff Awards are a special recognition for friendly and collegial service to the campus community and a commitment to excellence. Lynette Lentz Professional Staff Recognition Awards recognize employees for their dedication to Wayne State College’s mission of learning excellence, student service, and service-learning.
“The support staff and professional staff keep things running smoothly on a day-to-day basis, and they play a pivotal role in the overall success of the college and our students,” said Dr. Marysz Rames, president of Wayne State College. “Their dedication to Wayne State is greatly appreciated every day.”
