Braxton Dalton and J.R. Schaaf will compete in the Future Business Leaders of America’s National Leadership Conference June 24-27 in Orlando, Fla.
Wayne State College students Braxton Dalton of Raymond and J.R. Schaaf of Broken Bow have qualified to compete at the Future Business Leaders of America’s (FBLA) National Leadership Conference June 24-27 in Orlando, Fla.
At the FBLA State Leadership Conference in Kearney, Dalton qualified to compete in the Impromptu Speaking competition and the Foundations of Marketing event. Shaaf qualified for the Job Interview competition and the Foundations of Finance exam.
FBLA is the largest business career and technical student organization in the world. Each year, FBLA helps more than 230,000 members prepare for careers in business. FBLA aims to inspire and prepare students to become community-minded business leaders in a global society through relevant career preparation and leadership experiences, according to the FBLA website.
Dalton, a 2022 graduate of Malcolm High School, is a sophomore majoring in business administration with a marketing concentration. In addition to FBLA, he is active in Delta Sigma Pi (professional business fraternity), the Wayne State Student Senate, the Growing Together Career Scholars Cooperative Education Program, and residence life. He also serves as a Wayne State Student Trustee for the Nebraska State College System.
Schaaf, a 2022 graduate of Broken Bow High School, is a sophomore majoring in business administration with a finance concentration. In addition to FBLA, he is active in the Growing Together Career Scholars Cooperative Education Program and intramural sports at Wayne State.
