Registration Open for Spring 2024 Music Academy

Music lessons for voice and piano begin Jan. 15 and run through April 26. Other instrument lessons are possible upon request.

Registration is now open for musicians and vocalists of all ages wanting to fine-tune their musical skills this spring by participating in Wayne State College’s Spring Music Academy.

Spring 2024 lessons begin Monday, Jan. 15, and run through Friday, April 26. The $200 registration fee includes all lesson materials.

There will be no lessons the week of March 4-8.

The Wayne State Music Academy serves those 5 years of age to adult with one weekly 30-minute lesson taught by a Wayne State music student under the guidance of Dr. Angela Miller-Niles, Chair of Wayne State’s Department of Music. Piano or voice lessons are offered, with lessons for other instruments possible upon request. Lessons will take place in the Peterson Fine Arts Building; however, remote lessons are also available.

Wayne State’s Peterson Fine Arts Building is home to spacious new state-of-the-art choir and band rooms filled with natural light and treated acoustically for peak performance. Peterson also houses numerous classrooms and practice rooms designed to help develop students’ musical talents.
