Michael Genslinger performs at 7:30 p.m. March 2 in Ley Theatre.
Michael Genslinger presents a spirited Faculty Trumpet Recital at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 2, in Ley Theatre at Wayne State College. The performance is free and open to the public and will also be livestreamed. To view the livestream, go to www.wsc.edu/watch-live. The program will be accessible by selecting the event from the Music Events list at www.wsc.edu/music.
Repertoire showcases Genslinger’s trumpet mastery with piano accompaniment by Shelly Armstrong. Musical selections include the playful “Bride of the Waves” by Herbert L. Clarke, the technically demanding “Concerto for Trumpet and Strings” by Johan Baptist Georg Neruda, and the expressive “Portrait of a Trumpet” by Sammy Nestico.
