The Juried Art Show includes original artwork submitted by art students. The opening reception is at 4:30 p.m. April 20, 2022, in the Nordstrand Visual Arts Gallery.
The Wayne State College Juried Art Show opens at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 20, in the Nordstrand Visual Arts Gallery, Conn Library. This event is free and open to the public. The exhibit will remain on display throughout the summer.
The Juried Art Show includes original artwork submitted by WSC Department of Art and Design students. Pieces are judged and selected by Howard Paine, associate professor at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Paine holds a master's degree in printmaking from Washington University in St. Louis, Mo., and a bachelor's degree in studio art and American studies from Grinnell College in Iowa.
The gallery is open Monday through Thursday 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday 3 to 7 p.m. It is closed Saturday. Shows end at noon on closing day. For more information on this exhibit or upcoming shows, visit www.wsc.edu/art-gallery or contact Andy Haslit at 402-375-7031.
