Apply Now for 2026 FCS Event 'Kids Feeding Kids'

Eight teachers will be selected for the Kids Feeding Kids School Year Educator Institute held at WSC on Nov. 12-14. Application is Sept. 25.

Family and consumer sciences teachers in Nebraska and the surrounding states are invited to apply for the Kids Feeding Kids School Year Educator Institute being held at Wayne State College Nov. 12-14. The application deadline is Sept. 25.

Only eight teachers will be selected to participate in the institute. To qualify, teachers must be 7-12 grade foods/culinary teachers, have a ServSafe or other food safety training certification, have an administration letter of support, and photos of current kitchen lab and equipment (residential or commercial style kitchen labs qualify).

The eight teachers selected will receive a $375 stipend for successful completion of the training, and classroom project funding and resources to complete the project in their school after the training. Graduate credit is also available.
