Two film premieres and one encore presentation are scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Majestic Theatre in Wayne, with a press event at 6:30 p.m.
Wayne State College celebrates student filmmaking with two film premieres and one encore presentation at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7, at The Majestic Theatre, located at 310 Main Street in downtown Wayne.
A press event precedes the films at 6:30 p.m., with a question-and-answer session to follow. All events are free and open to the public.

“Artificially Artificial”

When all the writing jobs are taken by artificial intelligence, aspiring screenwriter Paula Strolep pretends to be an AI writing expert while doing all the writing herself to make a career doing what she loves. But her morals are tested when she is faced with the fact that she is legitimizing the idea of AI being capable of writing better than a human.

In March 1894, Rudy Callahan goes into hiding after killing a man. As he’s being hunted, he writes letters to his wife, Clementine, in hopes of seeing her again soon.
The encore film presentation will be of “Halfway Saved” by Mason Chamberlain of Omaha, Neb.
