The recognition was held during a brunch May 29.
Wayne State College recently honored its support staff and professional staff employees for their years of service to the college with a recognition brunch May 29.
Twenty-five employees were honored for service ranging from five to 45 years. In addition to the service awards, other employees received individual awards for their contributions to Wayne State.
Cris Bathke, accounting clerk III, was awarded the 2024-25 Support Staff Award, and Kyle Nelsen, director of facility services, received the Lynette Lentz Professional Staff Recognition Award.
The Support Staff Award is a special recognition for friendly and collegial service to the campus community and a commitment to excellence. The Lynette Lentz Professional Staff Recognition Award recognizes employees for their dedication to Wayne State College’s mission.
“The support staff and professional staff keep things running smoothly on a day-to-day basis, and they play a pivotal role in the overall success of the college and our students,” said Dr. Marysz Rames, president of Wayne State College. “Their dedication to Wayne State is greatly appreciated every day.”
