The FBLA Collegiate National Leadership Conference will be held May 31 - June 2.
Several Wayne State College students have qualified to compete at the Future Business Leaders of America’s (FBLA) Collegiate National Leadership Conference May 31-June 2 in Dallas.
At the FBLA state conference in Kearney, eight Wayne State students took home top honors during the competition, and the Wayne State FBLA chapter received two awards – Largest Chapter Among Four-Year Colleges and Highest Percentage Increase in Membership.
Wayne State students who placed in the top four of their categories are eligible to compete in the national conference in Dallas. They are:
Georgia Ramsey of Hildreth, Neb.
First place – Business Presentation
(Note: Ramsey was also elected as the 2025-26 Nebraska FBLA College vice president of technology, and she also received the Who’s Who in FBLA Award.)
Azania Kumalo of Johannesburg, South Africa
Third place – Job Interview
Fourth place – Public Speaking
Braxton Dalton of Raymond, Neb.
Fourth place – Foundations of Entrepreneurship
Fourth place – Foundations of Selling
Heidi Taylor of Correctionville, Iowa
Fourth place – Accounting Case Competition

Other Wayne State students were eligible for the national competition if the original qualifiers declined their invitation to the national conference.
FBLA is the largest business career and technical student organization in the world. Each year, FBLA helps more than 230,000 members prepare for careers in business. FBLA aims to inspire and prepare students to become community-minded business leaders in a global society through relevant career preparation and leadership experiences, according to the FBLA website.
