The lecture will be at 3:45 p.m. March 19 in Connell Hall, Room 131, on Ratzlaff's "Take Your Time" art exhibit.

Postponed from an earlier date, a lecture by Lincoln artist Terry Ratzlaff will be held at 3:45 p.m. Wednesday, March 19, in Connell Hall, room 131, on the Wayne State College campus.

Ratzlaff’s “Take Your Time” art exhibit is currently on display in the Nordstrand Visual Arts Gallery, located on the main level of Conn Library at Wayne State.

Both events are free and open to the public, and the exhibit runs through March 19.

Photography and book art dominate Ratzlaff’s artwork with a distinct passion for trains and time. His works highlight single-image sequencing to better interpret modern perceptions of time, history, technological progress, and adverse effects on human consciousness.

Ratzlaff currently serves as an assistant professor of digital media at Nebraska Wesleyan University. He also operates The Basement Window, making small edition artist books and boxes. His artistry has been featured in “The New York Times,” “Vanity Fair,” “Bloomberg Businessweek,” “The Wall Street Journal,” “ESPN,” and many other acclaimed publications.

The gallery is open Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Sunday, 3 to 7 p.m. It is closed Saturday. Shows end at noon on closing day.
